Counselling for Adults & Teenagers in Evesham and On-Line
Hello I'm Rachel and I am an experienced BACP Accredited counsellor fully qualified to work with adults and young people. I work both face to face and on-line.
We all at some time in our lives experience distressing events, crises that overwhelm us, difficult feelings or relationship issues that we may struggle to deal with on our own. There are many different reasons why people choose to come to counselling. You may be experiencing grief or loss from a bereavement or from a relationship break down, you may be lonely or swamped by responsibilities. You may have past experiences which you feel are impacting on the person you are and affecting the relationships you have around you. Often we can feel overwhelmed with life changes or difficulties in relationships or maybe we are struggling with anxiety, stress and depression. Sometimes in life we just experience a sense of being stuck where we feel that life is passing us by. However you may be feeling, often by talking with a trained therapist, someone who is outside of your life, can help you gain understanding over your feelings and to gain clarity. Often I descibe this as like joining the dots in our life and making sense of who we are and how be became to be.
As a teenager you may be finding life tough as you go through many changes and challenges in your life that are both physical and emotional. You may experience feelings of "who am I" or "what's the point?" that lead you to question what meaning you have and your identity. You may feel you need to talk these through with someone who is there to listen to you and understand. I work with many issues that may impact on the life of young people such as low self esteem, depression, family relationship issues, anger, anxiety and worry, bullying and other areas resulting from peer pressure and friendship groups. It is at these times that talking to a trained counsellor can give you a safe outlet for these feelings and help you to process and understand your thoughts and feelings.
"We think we listen, but very rarely do we listen with real understanding, true empathy. Yet listening, of this very special kind, is one of the most potent forces for change that I know.” Carl Rogers Founder Person Centred Counselling
I am an experienced fully qualified adult and teenage counsellor working in Evesham. I offer a confidential, non-judgemental and accepting space where you are able to talk through your worries and concerns and where together we can move you forward to a place you want to be. I work with both individuals and young people on an open-ended basis with the aim of enabling you to enhance your life and to live it more fully. I fully believe that every person is unique and we all deserve the opportunity to be heard, understood and to ultimately improve our well being and create our own inner happiness.
I work from counselling rooms at Inspire Counselling Services in Vine Court, Evesham which offers a safe and secure environment. I see both adults and teenagers at these rooms. The rooms are located in Vine Court on the 1st floor of the Old Bakehouse which can be accessed from the rear of Waitrose car park in Merstow Green, Evesham. There is currently 1.30 hours of free car parking available.
I also work via Zoom and am fully qualified to work remotely and I offer reduced fees for on line sessions. You may think that working on line is not for you but I have found it really effective and often having sessions from your own home can make your counselling experience more relaxing. Clients have found it useful to have one or two sessions face to face and then change to on line sessions as this can prove more convenient.
My practice is within easy reach of Evesham, Pershore, Malvern & Worcester
