Therapy Nest Counselling With Rachel Morrice in Evesham, Worcestershire

About Me . me4

I'm Rachel a Qualified Accredited Counsellor working in Evesham and On Line.

I am a person centred adult and young person counsellor practising from rooms in Evesham, Worcestershire. My personal experiences, training and own therapy have given me a greater understanding of how life experiences impact on our mental health and how to be able to talk openly to a trained therapist can help to find clarity, understanding of self and a way forward.

My counselling experience has been gained by being in private practive for many years where I have worked with both adilts and young people. In the past I have worked for an organisation as a Senior Counsellor that provides counselling to young people and teenagers in schools.

I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and adhere to the BACP Framework for good practice and professional code of conduct procedure.

I follow an integrative approach which means I will tailor my work to the needs of my client to provide the right therapy. I have no expectations of my clients as I believe with the right support you are able to take control of your own thoughts, feelings and behaviours and move forward. My clent is always the expert on their own life but sometimes they need support to process lifes challenges and move forward. My work is a collaboration where I help facilitate your exploration of situations to gain understanding, clarity and change. Our sessions offer time to talk freely about whatever issues you choose to work on and they will be led by you. We can also look at goal setting in our initial meeting where you may feel more comfortable in having a focus for our sessions. This can help when you have a specific goal that wants to be achieved. Our work will be done in the safety of a confidential and supportive environment where we can reprocess your experiences, thoughts, feelings and beliefs.

We may at times consider your presenting issues in the context of your life - childhood, past influences, experiences, significant relationships, beliefs and responses. By gaining insights into your life, how you relate to others and your own perceptions of self will be the first steps towards changing your situation and redefining the person you want to be.

"When we deny our stories, they define us. When we own our stories, we get to write a brave new ending." Brene Brown "Daring Greatly"

About Me . therapy

Working With Young Adults

I have experiences of working young people and helping them to navigate the challenges of their different stages of life. This also includes dealing with the pressures of school and family life. Whilst I welcome the support of parents in referring their child for help it is important for me that the young person makes the decision to want to engage and be part of a counselling relationship. My work with younger clients may involve around more creative interventions. This helps my younger clients to explore and express their feelings in a safe way.  With older children and teenagers counselling offers a unique relationship to be able to talk through feelings and thoughts in a safe and secure space where they can be accepted and heard.

If you want to hear more about how I work with children then please call me and we can talk further.
